SCADA Temp Tag Program

As you know, this past legislative session SCADA, in unison with SCDMV, passed a law concerning temporary tags.  The new legislation authorizes the State of South Carolina to contract with SCADA to administer the new temporary tag program that will go into effect in May 2019.  The new temporary tags will have an identification number which allows law enforcement and authorized entities to electronically identify the owner, their address, date of purchase, and Dealership place of purchase.
 
While many of the specs and details for the program are still being finalized by DMV, it is important for you to familiarize yourself with the new process.  DDI Technology, our preferred EVR provider with whom we have partnered, created this video tutorial for our use.  Please take some time to review the video with staff, as it will describe and explain the new procedures.
 
We hope to phase in the statewide program region by region, beginning in Winter of 2019.  Stay tuned for more information as we progress these next couple of months.  As more specifics are provided by DMV, we will release more instructional videos and materials.
